It's preferred to reserve a table, to make sure one is available. This is especially good if you're coming with a group.
Is it really certified halal food or just halal? What are the interesting halal dishes?
Not buffet
It is one of those places that you can easily miss but it is a gem. Although the store front looks small they have a respectable amount of seating room. The seating area is nice and the tables are clean. The menu has lots of choice between vegatarian and non-vegatarian dishes. Those that took our order and served the food were polite. The food came relatively quick and at the same time. The food was delicious, serving size and presentation was a feast for the eye. The only complaint was the men's washroom was not clean (otherwise 5 stars). The woman's was fine so it might have been one time issue considering everything else was clean and presentable. Recommend to give it a try.
Small and inconspicuous location but it was very busy on a Monday evening and more importantly, the food is great! I had a very nice paneer dish with delicious naan for about $13. The tandoori dishes seemed very popular judging by the amount of sizzling on other people's tables. Recommended.
Didnt expect the food to be good. Outstanding curries and Indian flavors. Silent place, good ambience, polite staff..Loved it all..
Food is great the people are friendly. Have only picked up food due to covid but food is made quickly. Enjoy ordering from here!
Good place. Management seems to be nice. Highly recommended.
It was really good and the waiter did took care of us well
The staff was great. It is a small place so it was a little difficult with our group of 8. But the food was delicious and the naan bread was to die for.
Authentic Indian food. Nice seating arrangement, staff is very nice and efficient. Just one suggestion check out can be way faster. We had to wait for 20 minutes for the check after we were done eating.
Great staff. Delicious food. The noise is almost unbearable. Hopefully they'll have an acoustic evaluation and get some sound absorption installed. Every surface reflects sound. Ouch.
Didn't even know there was this amazing Indian restaurant right in my neighborhood. Now I'm Tamil, and if I tell you an Indian (North) restaurant is great, you are going to expect the best. The butter chicken is amazing! The saffron rice, the naan, man the chief really put some thought into the recipe's. I usually have a bias that north Indian food is bland compared to the south but this restaurant hits you with so much flavor you'll never hit Gerrard Street up again.
Went there with my family today. They have good vegetarian options. Obviously they are less than the non-vegetarian options but are still there and they are good. I only wish there food would be more spicy as an Authentic Indian restaurant but it wasn't bad at all. It was good actually but needed to be more on the spicy side of things. Also the service is nice. The servers really know how to make the customers feel at ease.
Such a great find! Went here yesterday based on the reviews. They do not lie. It’s a hidden gem. Food is great and pick up service was lovely. No delivery available but pick up was ready in 20 mins. Will be back for sure!
Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been too and it was Toddler approved! Not too spicy and not as oily/greasy as lots of Indian joints.
Place looks neat. Service was quick. We had goat biryani and tandoori sizzler. Tandoori was juicy. Did not like the biryani that much.
One of the few places that had pretty wide selection on appetizers and sizzlers. Goat Well balanced menu. Space allocation and Goat meat menu were the limitations and meat could have been cooked a bit deeper to make it tender. Overall quality was impressive.
I grew up w Indian cuisine and these guys do it very well. Their lageez salad is amazing!
Went here based on the good reviews and were glad we did. Everything tasted excellent, specially the fish and chicken kababs. They were very helpful in advising on options for our daughter who has some mild food allergies. Will definitely be back.
Okay, this place has a high star rating for a reason. It is second to none for Indian in this city, and that's saying something. The butter chicken is absolutely fantastic and the vindaloo is just like London/Brick Lane. Careful, it's spicy. The inside is classy but not overdone and while I had take out I can't wait to dine in on my many return trips. Keep up the great work guys, it's fantastic to know I can have a go-to Indian restaurant in West Scarborough. Cheers
The best Indian cuisine I've had the pleasure to experience!
We have been there on dinner time it wasn’t busy. We ordered our choice and all food items came out fast and freshly made. Wonderful service, tasty food & attentive server. Definitely we would like to come back again and recommend to everyone who wanna try authentic Indian food.
Came here around noon to celebrate my birthday, since it was recommended to me by my mother and sister who previously came here.I ordered the Sea Food Thali with shrimp and it was very delicious and flavorful. Along with the naan bread that came with it, I wasn't disappointed. Lots of flavor and aroma coming from anything. If you want authentic Indian food, definitely go here.
Loved Lageez.... awesome food, very friendly and charming staff. Place is so clean and calm. Will love to come over and over again. Never visited to better place then this. Will recommend everyone to visit this place.
This place was one of my favourite among indian food, even I have hosted my son’s 2 (two) birthday parties here and some of my gatherings and most of the time I order indian food from this restaurant and same as usual I ordered some foods from this restaurant for pick up today but their dal makni was so old smells and taste so yuck. I have thrown all food because of that dal makni.
I have eaten here and ordered food on multiple occasions. Staff is very good, and although I can not speak to the authenticity, I find the food to be consistently excellent.
At the first moment you arrive in this restaurant the stuff gives you a great feeling. Very friendly team, it is a friendly restaurant to enjoy with friends or with your date. very good cooking, experienced chief cook and stuff, reasonable price and attentive service. Highly recommended.
One of my favourite Indian food place. Decent portion and price. Truly authentic Indian cuisine.
Love the food here! It is always delicious and never disappointed. For the dishes with a sauce or marinated (i.e. tandoori chicken) there is some spice and may be too much for those who don't care for any heat. But the flavour is excellent and the tandoori chicken is a must try!
Friends have been raving to us about Lageez for ages. We finally went and the raves were justified. Everything we had was delicious. Flavours were intricate. Service was excellent. Adding Lageez to our regular roster of favourite Toronto Indian restaurants.
Incredible food and great Service. Will definitely go here again. Best place if you are looking for north indian cuisines.
Small place, friendly service, llbo, food can be good or average depending on what is ordered, not very oily or spicy.
Lageez has superb Indian food with the best variety menu in Toronto. The very best
Had some amazing butter chicken. I looked around for some indian resturants and couldnt find any good ones. I looked at some blogs and decided to try this one. Highly recommended!
Great staff. Friendly people. Food was good. It is a little pricey to my regular place, therefore i would not order every week sort of place. However quality for quantity.!
Ordered food from here and that experience was just horrible. Fish curry- no taste of fish or curry nor any spice. Kadai paneer- same as fish curry, Biryani- good. And that all for this revie..... Wait forgot tomato soup. This requires special attention since one couldn't tell if it were a soup or shahi paneer without paneer. It is frustratingly annoying and it forced me to feel like being scammed when I tasted their tomato soup.
Love the food!!! It feels like all the flavours are dancing a happy dance in a mouth...very well balanced and delicious. The service is also very attentive and pretty fast. My fav jam for Indian cuisine 👍
Our server was very nice and the mixed grill plate was awesome too. But we found the biriyani and butter chicken both a bit underwhelming.
This place is a hidden gem in the southwest Scarborough / east York region. There's a great ambience in the restaurant with excellent service. If you like your food spicy you have to ask them otherwise it's a milder taste (which some prefer). The staff are great and since it's a smaller place the service is excellent. The taste has very authentic flavors to it. As a local guide who eats at many restaurants, I highly recommend Lageez. It's also licensed if you want a drink with your food. Almost everything on the menu is good so it's upto your personal taste on what you want to eat. Can't go wrong really. 5/5.
The food is so amazing that it hurts my pocket little bit still I keep on coming again and again..👌👌
The thalis here are pretty decent and are good enough for an individual
Very high quality food. Appropriately priced. Amazing lamb. Family favourite is the rack of lamb. Servers are very friendly.
Had a awesome experience in here with my kid. The food comes out quick and the service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.
I have been reading so many reviews and they all seem to give excellent feedback..I am very satisfied and will dine especially l like tikka masala and other excellent cuisine. Nice
Tried this spot already with my friend and I am obsessed since then. I love the awesome atmosphere and delightful dishes and beverages. 5 stars from me.
I admire this restaurant! They have decent food, they have a nice menu, The chief cook in that spot is very trained, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The food is consistently tasty, the service towards the guests is efficient. I frequently visit this place and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.
Nice cosy place in Scarborough. Food was excellent. Not too expensive and awesome service. Strongly recommend.
Amazing food! Great prices. All in all, I'm quite impressed.
we were visiting someone in Scarborough and this place was close by. Going by the reviews we decided to walk in. There were a few large groups and was very busy. It's a mid sized restaurant well lit and a minimalistic decor. The menu is limited as well but has all the regulars of an Indian restaurant, and to add a couple of chats. We ordered for a chicken lollipop, a chicken biryani, Malai kofta and a naan and a masala tea.The chicken biryani was very forgettable. The Malai kofta gravy was delicious the koftas were dry and I would have liked if they were smaller and softer. The lollipop was the highlight, reminded of home. The tea was excellent. Nothing extraordinary but by the reviews seems like a favorite amongst residents of the area. If you visit Scarborough or live there and want to add an option to your list, there you go. The portion sizes are decent for one dish to be shared by two people, for the above we paid about $50 with taxes.
This place is amazing and spacious, the food was enchanting and the prices were very reasonable. fast, productive service and very welcoming staff. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent vegetarian options. And the staff were super friendly. Very satisfied
Amazing food. Fabulous presentation. Excellent service. Definitely check for their recommendation. They offer suggestions based on your palette and spice preference. We are definitely going back
